Why does poop smell so bad?

Stool smells due to the bacteria found in feces. This bacteria produces compounds and gases that cause the smell. The smell can be made even worse by what you eat and drink. The smell is made worse by artificial coloring, artificial flavoring, chemicals and meat.

Reminds me of a saying smells like $hit. The food smelled %26 tasted good going in though right. So for every action there is an equal %26 opposite reaction. Seriously... Ur answer is cause of our bodies digestive system releases acids to help in the digestion of food. You have to consider what Ur eating %26 all that goes into it. Grease, seasonings all of it has to be digested. If U have not chewed Ur food good it takes more from Ur system to get it digested thus releasing more acids. During this time is when U can have unpleasant gas (farts) The final result is U have a smelly poop. A good reason for the term bodily waste.
