Why do we have eyebrows?

I think it's ugly having hair over your eyes!
Answer:
I think the biological reason is to prevent dirt and sweat From our foreheads from getting into our eyes and irritating them!
because they are sexy ahahaha
To keep things out of our eyes
The world may nevcer no.
Why do we have hair?
I think that eye brows are actually to protect your eyes just like eyelashes. I think that we would love pretty funny with out eyebrows.
Maybe it was to keep bird poop out of our eyes.
It keeps the sweat from your brow from getting in your eyes. They play an important function. Ever got sweat in your eyes? Stings like crazy.
so you know when I'm surprised.
So sweat and oil from our forehead doesn't drown our eyes.
Imagine how weird we would look if they were UNDER our eyes!
so that i can wink at you sexy.
i like em
but they help the men when hunting and its raining keeps the rain out our eyes
To catch the sweat before it runs into our eyes.
to keep crap out of your eyes.
Protect your eyes. Eyelashes protect them from the wind and eyebrows help with dirt and small particles from forehead
I am a cosmetologist, the reason my teachers gave me is that is a protection for your eyes. I think you'd look silly without them.
evolution.. i bet.. u think.. apes think ..its ugly having hair all over...??.. btw.. eye lashes protect your eyes from smaller particles from entering into your eyes..
To protect our eyes and also for expression and helps keep our faces warm. Just kidding about that last part. Except sadly, myself is exepted, my brows are very bushy.
I think they are to keep running water out of our eyes in the rain, but there are a lot of people you shave off their eyebrows and end up having to get hair transplant surgery to replace what they did. Eyebrows can be trimmed beautifully, but I find that if you don't do anything but rub them in the direction of the hair it will turn out nice.
Our eyebrows act as sort of a filter, so that we can have a better chance of preventing any kind of eye infection that could be contracted through the air. Sort of the same reason we have pubic hair.
i have always wondered that too but i asked and they said that we have eyebrows because when we sweat we also sweat out stuff that can burn the naked eye so your eyebrows are like umbrellas.
the hair directs sweat away from your eyes and down teh side of your face
Siri had a pretty good answer for you, but let me expand on it a bit. They do help protect the eyes, and that's the reason furry creatures have them. But with humans they also have a function in communications. They are an important part of our facial expressions. If we raise one eyebrow, that implies a question. If we raise both that implies surprise. If they sort of come together that means we are angry. If you don't like your eyebrows you have a feminine prerogative of plucking them to reduce their sized and then using an eyebrow pencil to highlight them and make them a sexy addition to your face. Us guys have to be satisfied with getting them trimmed when we visit the barber.Other than the fact that as I age my eyebrows seem to be stealing most of the hair from the top of my head I like having eyebrows. And I agree, they are sexy.
The main function of the eyebrows is to prevent moisture, mostly salty sweat and rain, from flowing into the eye, an organ critical to survival. The typical curved shape of the eyebrow (with a slant on the side) and the direction in which eyebrow hairs are pointed, make sure that moisture has a tendency to flow sideways around the eyes, along the side of the head and along the nose. The slightly protruding brow ridges of modern humans could also still play a supporting role in this process. Together with the eyebrows, the brow ridges also shade the eyes from sunlight.
Eyebrows also prevent debris such as dandruff and other small objects from falling into the eyes, as well as providing a more sensitive sense for detecting objects being near the eye, like small insects.
Eyebrows also have an important facilitary function in communication, strengthening expressions like surprise or anger.
The crab louse can be found in "eyebrows".
To protect our eyes and the bone above.
The bone above our eyes (seen in males - evolution - to protect eye during hunting) The eye brow acts like a cushion.
The falling small, light objects from the head or hair on the head get trapped in the eyebrows.
